Throughout France and around the world, activities are gradually resuming.
Some activities have never really stopped, including sorting operations. Confinement has pushed consumers to make their purchases via the Internet and this has had a clear impact on the key players in the supply chain.

"We are trying to respond to this exceptional period with responsiveness. We are facing with new consumption habits that have changed due to COVID-19."

Gilles Vincent Viaposte

At the end of this extraordinary period, Viaposte is faced with an increase in flows that requires new teams to be put in place and new locations to be opened.
Gilles Vincent, Director of Viaposte's Logistics BU confirms: "We are trying to respond to this exceptional period with responsiveness. We are facing new consumption habits that have changed due to COVID-19, temporarily or permanently, for the moment it is impossible to know. In the meantime, we are readjusting our activities by putting new teams in place, while ensuring compliance with protective measures."

Viaposte, a subsidiary of the La Poste group, is reinforcing Colissimo's parcel sorting activity. Over the years, Viaposte has made flow sorting one of its core competencies.
