From 15th to 17th March, 18 drivers were trained at the Velaux site by a professional osteopath to become muscle awareness referents.

This warm-up and stretching training programme was carried out following a mini-audit carried out on the Gondreville and Chelles platforms by the company Goalmap.
A visit was made by an osteopath beforehand in order to define the most frequent movements and adapt the training to the reality of the setting. Once the warm-up had been validated with the quality correspondent of the Velaux site, the training could begin.

In all, 15 operations managers from the Velaux and Vitrolles Integrated Logistics Teams, as well as 3 volunteer employees, were divided into groups of 6 people for a day of training.
A number of gestures were learned during this training, in order to be able to vary the exercises on a daily basis. At the end of the training, Velaux's quality and safety department produced "reminder" sheets to summarise the different muscles worked for each movement.

From now on, each referent will carry out his or her own workouts by personalising the movements and emphasising the most frequent gestures in his or her activity. The three trained volunteers also carry out the workouts, while contributing their experience in the daily movements performed.

Each day before starting work, music is played on the platform and each volunteer takes part in the warm-up to the extent of the movements he or she can perform. The employees who work in the offices and support services regularly join the operational teams for this muscular awakening.
This is a good way of maximising team cohesion, and work can then begin in a good mood and in good shape!
In the coming months, other Viaposte platforms will be introducing the same types of warm-up exercises.
