Viaposte, a company committed to training young people

For many years, Viaposte has been committed to helping young people enter the world of work through work-study programmes.

This training system, based on a practical phase in the company and a theoretical phase at school, allows students to acquire professional experience that is highly valued by employers, as well as to immerse themselves in the company's working methods and culture.

"More than 40 work-study students joined us again this year, which is a real asset for Viaposte and helps to create a new dynamism in the teams. We are capitalising on the training of these young people, because since 2019, more than 20 work-study students have joined the company on a permanent basis by signing a permanent contract," says the HR development manager.

Yanis, a former work-study student recruited on an open-ended contract, testifies

Yanis started his work-study programme at Viaposte in September 2021 as part of a professional degree in advanced maintenance techniques. His main task within the company was to create the spare parts list for the site's equipment and to assist the technicians during their work.

In September 2022, Yanis signed his first permanent contract as a maintenance technician at Viaposte.

"Since I joined the company last year, I have been very well integrated into the teams, who have quickly shown their trust in me. Today, I am a maintenance technician, responsible for ensuring that the machines work properly, by carrying out inspections, checks and interventions to prevent breakdowns.

I'm delighted to have been offered this contract at Viaposte. It was the team's good humour and the desire to deepen my technical knowledge that pushed me to continue the adventure.

In 2021, Yanis will be speaking alongside other Viaposte alternates to share his experience.

Every year, Viaposte recruits work-study students at its various sites throughout France, with offers for apprenticeship contracts and professional training contracts.

Several vacancies are published on the careers page and the Linkedin account, in Viaposte's three business areas - Logistics, Maintenance and Transport - but also for support functions. Recruitment campaigns for our future work-study students take place between April and August each year.
