A portal for your chartering requests
Viaposte has just set up a freight portal, allowing customers to enter and track their transport requests. This saves time for customers and freight forwarders, who can now access all the information on the portal with a single click.
This project was piloted by the Project Management [MOA] team and launched a few days ago. The sales staff are starting an e-training system for customers to use it.
How does this freight customer portal work ?
The customer accesses it via their web browser, enters their request on the portal and specifies all the characteristics of the goods: weight, number of pallets, nature of the product, delivery constraints, desired pick-up date, etc...
The request is then processed by a freight forwarder who is responsible for finding the right transport and negotiating it on behalf of the customer.
Once the goods have been picked up, the customer can track the information concerning their transport directly on the portal.
Some features of the portal :
> Order entry and tracking
> Summary of previous orders
> Provision of proofs of delivery and invoices
> Setting of delivery constraints (lift gate, delivery by appointment, etc.)
