Faced with the challenge of inventory management, Viaposte offers companies its new V-FRET transport offer that meets the needs of transporting pallets "just in time" in France and Europe.
As part of its business development strategy, freight forwarder Viaposte (a subsidiary of La Poste's Post-Parcel-Services branch) is enriching its existing V-UNIT and V-REGULAR offerings, by offering V-FRET from now on. This new transport solution gives companies the opportunity to be delivered whenever they want to be in France and in Europe. By meeting the challenge of "just in time" delivery which reduces storage costs, it allows Viaposte’s customers to benefit from a transport of pallets to or from France and Europe.
Responsive and responsible transport
This new offer, available to all industries except products requiring a refrigerated container, aims to "control the unexpected, the occasional or the urgent" and requires an order of at least four pallets. It includes a service that integrates negotiation, purchase, organisation and supervision of transport from the point of departure to the point of arrival, with Viaposte working on a daily basis with the largest network of carriers in France. It adapts to the time constraints of pick-up and delivery times and manages its transport operations in real time and remotely using Viaposte's TMS Item Care. V-FRET also commits to responding to quote requests within two hours for urgent requests and has six regional charter hubs in Ile-de-France (North and South), Tours, Lille, Lyon and Nancy.
To carry out these operations, Viaposte is committed to responsible transport, focusing on CNG and LNG routes while carrying out regular checks on the Euro standards of carriers (promoting Euro 5 and 6) and monitoring the consumption of CO2 thanks to its TMS.
