Viaposte has once again been entrusted with the logistics preparation of elections for several French departments.
For the regional elections to be held on 20 and 27 June, Viaposte, a key operator for the preparation of elections in France for several years, has won the tender for the departments of Maine-et-Loire (49), Manche (50), Mayenne (53), Sarthe (72) and Côtes-d'Armor (22).
In order to meet the requirements of the authorities concerned, and to ensure the quality of the service provided by the teams, 1,500 employees, spread over several Viaposte sites, will be responsible for inserting the documents that will then be sent to the 1.926 million voters concerned.
Several operations, from printing to assembly and enveloping
After coordination between the prefectures of these departments, La Poste Group and Viaposte, the tasks were divided up. Viaposte was entrusted with several operations:
> Printing the envelopes with the addresses of each individual,
> The routing of the envelopes to the mailing site,
> The reception and control of the various data: the types of documents (ballot papers and mission statements), the volume received in relation to the number of voters, and the quality of the documents (dry and undamaged documents)
> The preparation and dispatch of the packages containing the ballot papers to the town halls,
> The assembly of the documents, and putting them in envelopes,
> The loading of the containers into trucks ready to be sent to the distribution sites.
Operations on several Viaposte logistics platforms
- At the Viaposte platform in Joué-lès-Tours (37) and at an additional temporary site in Tours for inserting documents in envelopes for the Maine-et-Loire and Sarthe departments
- On a postal platform in Roye (80) for the Manche department,
- At an additional temporary site in Rennes for the Côtes-d'Armor department,
- On the Viaposte platform in Angers with the partner Mediapost for the assembly of the Mayenne department documents.
