Two sorters at two of its sites and two at its customer Colissimo

A logistics service provider and subsidiary of La Poste group, Viaposte deployed new sorting systems at the end of last year at two of its sites as well as two infrastructures for its customer Colissimo (La Poste).

Logistics equipment to sort more and faster

This equipment has enabled it to more easily handle the 30% increase in parcel flows and 20% increase in goods flows handled by the end of 2020, giving it additional sorting capacity of more than 300,000 parcels and small goods per day. Viaposte was on hand during the peak period by deploying a transportable and modular Sort & Move parcel sorter at its Toulouse (31) platform, a workshop sorter dedicated to the fine sorting of SIP (Small International Parcels) at its Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes (77) platform and two Sort & Drive models at the Colissimo platforms in Liévin (62) and Argonay (74). Developed in partnership with specialists such as Actemium and Sick, the latter solution, which enables parcels to be sorted by delivery round, saves one hour in round preparation time.

“Our agility lies in our ability to integrate innovative and scalable solutions"

Our agility lies in our ability to integrate innovative and scalable solutions and to configure them by adapting to the needs of our customers and the availability of the sites”, says Pascal Cesari, Industrial Director at Viaposte. “Our industrial engineering coupled with our ability to provide logistics and maintenance services for sorters enables us to quickly commission and ensure business continuity for players in the B-to-B supply chain.
