Viaposte to train super logisticians for maintenance

While maintenance activities are most often delegated to subcontractors, Viaposte takes the opposite approach by choosing to carry out its own in-house. The aim of this move is to raise awareness among the teams and improve the availability of machines. In addition to increasing productivity, teams, which now keep them running smoothly, are wasting less time, thanks to less frequent and shorter capital expenditures.

"We have chosen to internalize the maintenance of our equipment. This will allow us to not only control the response and processing times but also to have a plan for continuous improvement of our machines with expert technicians in industrial logistics" boasts Pascal Cesari, Viaposte’s Industrial Director.

Good news for the jobseekers as Viaposte has started to recruit. A total of 12 intra-logistic maintenance experts: one operations manager, one maintenance supervisor, one assistant maintenance supervisor, one maintenance method engineer, and eight maintenance technicians.

"To carry out this project, we have surrounded ourselves with an experienced team, which we will continually train in the evolution of our machines and technological innovations," says Martial Martin, Viaposte’s Maintenance Team Operations Manager.

Currently trained in the various trades, the new recruits will play a major role in the development of Viaposte's business, at least that's what the company hopes. Other new generation logisticians are expected to join the group by the end of the year.
